Learn Differently | VOL’s monthly Reading Group (july)

  • Please note that event times are Eastern Standard Time (EST) (map)

Writers, poets, philosophers, and artists have written theories and created beautiful worlds that inspire us to live differently. Throughout the history of patriarchal racial capitalism, there have been stories that allude to a different way of being. In VOL’s monthly reading groups, we explore some of these histories and stories in community.

VOL’s July reading group will be on Angela Davis’s Women, Race, and Class. From the abolitionist movement to the women’s suffrage struggle to contemporary feminism, Angela Davis challenges us to reconsider who has been included—and who has been left out—of mainstream narratives. Join us for a discussion on the legacy we inherit and how we might envision a different future.

Free Admission Event

A digital copy of the book will be provided after registration.
